GOING PRO
FT. CHARLOTTE NORTH
For this original docuseries by Athletes Unlimited, I produced, directed, shot, and edited throughout the four-week season alongside the lacrosse phenomenon, Charlotte North. The series provides an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse into the league, shedding light on the challenges and triumphs faced by a rookie entering the professional arena. The documentary was published during the off-season across various Athletes Unlimited social media platforms, including Instagram, X, Facebook, and Youtube.
Drawing inspiration from storytelling done by ESPN and Nike, I aimed to bring an environment that reflected the tone and energy of the storyline. Charlotte's initial encounter with the sport occurred in the backyard of a friend's house, so I envisioned the first interview reflecting this origin story. Placing her outdoors, centered on the venue's staircase, encapsulates the essence of where her lacrosse journey began. Transitioning to the second interview, a more serious undertone is set. Here, Charlotte is positioned indoors, framed by a big window offering panoramic views of the open fields and woods beyond. As the story shifts into the trials and tribulations that define her journey, the setting matches, showcasing the evolution from a young kid playing an innocent game to a professional performing at the most elite level.
